My Architecture photography photos feature use of corners, leading lines, use of light, repetition, pattern, perspective and detail & texture.

When making my hand drawn and masking tape architecture pieces I first went around and looked for a building with details which stood out to me. Once i had found the desired building i began drawing the part of the building that i was able to see from the angle i was looking at it.

What i found difficult when drawing was translating parts of the structure that were 3d from my perspective onto the paper so that they would fit well and not look abstract. I was able to get around this problem by making sure that once i had drawn the part that was 3d it looked normal and not out of place.

One of my pieces is quite different to the others though as i had to make one using masking tape. when making the work i used the masking tape in different ways such as tearing the larger pieces in half to make thinner pieces. I did this as was using the masking tape to represent the edges and corners of the area my work was based of as well as using the tape for the outlines of any windows.

I think architects still do sketches by hand as it gives them a rough idea of what to make the building look like as well as also allowing them to easily change anything they don't like due to it being a physical design and not digital.
